How to get a Caring Hat ? Quick and easy steps
1. Make an appointment
- Make an appointment by calling +32 2 735 90 41 or sending an email to contact@caringhat.org
- You will be warmly welcomed into the privacy of a private home, a gentle and attentive environment, for a moment of well-being far from the routine of the hospital.
- Before your appointment, check with your mutual insurance company, health insurance provider, or employer to find out what type of reimbursement you are entitled to.
2. Finding the perfect hat for you
You will have the opportunity to discover the magical world of creation, chat with the Caring Hat team, try on several hats, and receive advice on which one suits you best.
Distance should not be an obstacle. It is possible to choose a hat via video call, although visiting the workshops is preferable.
You pay and leave with the hat of your dreams, or receive it as soon as possible.

Refund Conditions
- Mutual insurance: the amount of €120 covers a maximum of three head coverings and cannot be combined with reimbursement for a wig.
- Additional reimbursement may be available depending on the type of hospital/mutual insurance. Medical certificate
- By the attending physician: the indication “total baldness following radiotherapy and/or antimitotic chemotherapy.”
- By a dermatologist: the three other indications (alopecia covering more than 30% of the scalp; scarring alopecia of physico-chemical, traumatic, or inflammatory origin covering more than 30% of the scalp; scarring alopecia of radiotherapeutic origin). Caring Hat intervention
